Crossing the Great Divide: From Twilight Zone to Profit Zone
I am doing my best Rod Sterling impression so quite down a bit because you can’t hear it, you just have to think it…. Now use your imagination as you enter into the Twilight Zone..
Imagine this: a Dealer standing at the edge of a vast new frontier—AI Agents, automation, streamlined operations, and a 5-year runway of never seen before growth. The door is wide open… but most? They freeze. Because crossing into the future feels scarier than slowly fading into irrelevance.
“What if I look like an idiot and it flops?”
“It sounds exhausting—and I’ve already done my time.”
“Let the young guns figure it out. I’m in the last inning.”
Or the all-time classic: “I didn’t stand a chance against those AI corporate mobsters. They crushed the little guy. I cared about the industry… they just cared about profits.”
Sound familiar? That’s not strategy…that’s the pre-written farewell speech.
Here’s the kicker: most Dealers weren’t trained in business. They inherited a legacy, not an MBA. And their P&Ls? Enough to scare the jabitzu out of Rod Serling…and he’s seen things!
But those who pull the trigger now? They get the lead. They get the learning curve early. And they get to rewrite the narrative—not as victims, but as visionaries.
So step in, or step aside. You’ve just reached… the Profit Zone.
