Hot dog! I love this time of the year because it means that we can pack up our 2024 suitcase of activities and send it off for forensic analysis to the crime lab. At least that is where mine needs to be dispatched. There are way too many idiotic things for us to dig into that trash bin right now.

Okay, where are my manners? I need to explain the purpose of this blog. (My writing with a purpose? Are we also going to see pigs fly this year?) Yes, we are going to cover my top twelve predictions for 2025. Since I’m incapable of writing my name in less than two paragraphs, I thought it might be better to break them into three separate masterpieces…I mean blogs. On a funny side note, someone asked me if I could come up with twelve meaningful topics to write about for 2025. (and I thought I had the best crack in town ) Are you crazy? I have already moved on to SpaceX delivering helium-filled cabinets to Mars! Wake up and smell the garbanzo beans! 2025 is what I would call a “page-turner” year. Also known as “PTY” by the ancient Greeks.

I believe we will finally see smart technology integrating into the Dealer business. Before we all fall dead on the floor from shock, let me dive into some of the reasons why this miracle is on the precipice of happening.

We are standing on the threshold of transformation where forward-thinking Dealers will now be able take advantage of technology that can dramatically improve their business. This launchpad is where the ambitious leaders will pivot their team towards modernization and gain a huge competitive advantage.

How many of those leaders will have the foresight, and quite honestly, the desire to start the process of retooling their business? Your guess is as good as mine, but I’m thinking that it will be a fairly limited number. Good news for those on the tech-train and not so good for those who prefer to stroll down memory lane. That train whistle is blowing the tune that the engine has warmed up and it’s time to board. It must be like one of those dog whistles where most humans can’t hear it. At least that’s my scientific explanation of the phenomenon!

Lastly, when you look at the list below, you will see that I have added “environmental impact.” I don’t know about you, but it’s hard to watch the weather these days and not see a pattern of mischief that is taking place. In all seriousness, I am pretty concerned about where the planet is headed if we don’t make some changes soon. As for the Kitchen and Bath Industry, I would give us a D on how efficiently the businesses run. When I look at the number of projects done in a year and all the mistakes that have to be corrected, we could easily shave off over 300,000 metric tons of CO2. That’s a goal I could get my head around and help work towards!

Now that I have finished the longest teaser ever, I will reveal the list of 12, well it’s actually a baker’s dozen, that will be released with a dissertation on each subject. (kidding, kidding, it won’t be a WHOLE dissertation ) So, without further ado and no particular order:
